John Wayne was not only a loving father, but also a loving grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. He loved to work out in the yard.

John Wayne Thomison is survived by his loving wife Martha Thomison of Gunter, Texas; his sisters Ann Hinkle and Peggy Smith of Garland, Texas; his sister Caroline Winkles and husband Bryan of Sherman, Texas; his son Hollis Daniel and wife Lorrie of Tioga, Texas; his daughter Joyce Little and husband Roger of Howe, Texas; his daughter Shirley Arrington and husband Tim of Gunter, Texas; his son Clinton Daniel and wife Janet of Tom Bean, Texas; his son Stephen Thomison; his daughter Jenny Thomison; his grandchildren, Amanda Schindler; Joshua Little and wife Miranda; Justin Little; Clinton Daniel Jr and wife Laura; Timothy Arrington and wife Janica; Heather Cannon; Amber Arrington; Tarah Arrington; Britney Elias; Brandon Moreland; Preston Moreland; Landys Moreland; his great-grandchildren, Landon Daniel; Bailey Daniel; Trenton Ramsey; Isley Little. He is preceded in death by his parents; James William Thomison and Dovie Lee Adams Thomison; his brother James Thomison; his two sisters Betty Thomison and Ruth Collins.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory 637 W.
