Bonham, Texas – Family graveside services for Douglas “Doug” Carol Bozeman, 78, of Ravenna, Texas were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at New Hope Cemetery. No family visitation was held, arrangements were under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Bonham.

Douglas “Doug” Carol Bozeman was born in Ravenna, Texas on July 22, 1939 to John Preston and Mittie Laura (Sherrer) Bozeman. He passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter.

Doug married Evelyn Sue (Gannon) Bozeman on August 7, 1962 in Yuba, OK. He was a super husband and father. Doug was employed at Southwest Pump working the drill press. He was also a rancher; he enjoyed his cattle. Doug was a member of the Bonham Masonic Lodge and a 49 year member of Scottish Rite.

Doug often used this quote by Willie Nelson to describe himself: “Them that don’t know him won’t like him. And them that do sometimes won’t know how to take him. He ain’t wrong he’s just different. But his pride won’t let him do things to make you think he’s right.”

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Sue Bozeman of the home; daughter, Cindy Jacobs and husband Clint of Shawmut, MT; and sister, Mary Bryant; along with numerous friends of the community. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Titsworth and Kelly Titsworth.
