The Red River Rose Society will meet Tuesday, 04/17/18. Speakers will be Dean Oswald, owner of the Chambersville Tree Farm, and Claude Graves, American Rose Society Master Rosarian. Their program will be “The Gardens of Chambersville.”

The Chambersville Tree Farm is the only completely organic tree farm in Collin County, located 30 miles northwest of McKinney. Several years ago, Dean asked Claude for help to develop rose gardens at the farm. The rose gardens serve as an ongoing demonstration of the best-adapted roses for the north Texas climate and soil.

The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. when we meet for a Dutch treat dinner at Le Mesa Restaurante` and Cantina, 2124 Texoma Parkway in Sherman. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the United Way Building, 713 E. Brockett Street in Sherman. The Gardens of Chambersville are open to the public several times a year. You will want to travel to the gardens once Dean and Claude tell you what can be found so close to Texoma.
