Crews move in and new station begins service

McKinney, Texas (April 11, 2018) – The McKinney Fire Department (MFD) is happy to announce that Station #9 is now open. It is located at 4900 Summit Dr. and will serve the Summit View Lake neighborhood and other communities in the northwest part of McKinney. Station #9 contains the latest technology and a training facility that will be used by all McKinney firefighters. A Dedication Ceremony was held for Station #9 on January 31.

“We are proud of this new station and the men and women who will be staffing it,” said McKinney Fire Chief Daniel Kistner. “Station #9 is an important part of our plan to protect McKinney as the city continues its rapid growth.”
