8.    CONSENT AGENDA (All consent agenda items are considered routine by City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember requests an item be removed and considered separately.)

8.1      To approve Minutes of the Regular Session meeting held on March 19, 2018.

8.2    To approve Financials for March 2018.

8.3    To approve Resolution 2018-06 appointing and formally recognizing the Chief of Police and duly sworn, licensed Texas Peace Officers employed by the Tom Bean Police Department as authorized Code Enforcement Officials.

8.4      To approve Resolution 2018-07 appointing Attorney James C. Tidwell and the Law Firm of Wolfe, Tidwell & McCoy, LLP as the City of Tom Bean’s Municipal Attorney; authorizing James C. Tidwell to Act on the City’s behalf as its legal counsel.

8.5      To approve Resolution 2018-08 recognizing the adoption and designation of the official agency seal of the Tom Bean Police Department.

8.6      To approve Resolution 2018-09 authorizing the auction and sale of surplus equipment via Rene Bates online Auction.

 

9.    OLD BUSINESS

9.1      Consider and act upon approving $2,500 tap fee for outside City Limit connections.

 

10. NEW BUSINESS

10.1   Consider and act upon approving Variance request from David and Tammy Phillips at 207 W. Bonham St. to waive the 10-ft. setback zoning rule and to allow them to put a new 12’ X 20’ portable storage building on the southwest side of their property line due to lot size/location of sewer line.  Recommendation to be presented by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

 

11. EXECUTIVE SESSION

      Council may adjourn to Executive Session in accordance with Article 551.072 Deliberations Regarding Real Property, 551.074 Personnel Matters of the Government Code of the State of Texas to discuss the following:

 

11.1  To discuss purchase of real property.

11.2  To discuss evaluation of employee.

 

12. RECONVENE into Regular Session and Consider Action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session.   

 

13. COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding recognition of community members, city employees, and upcoming events.

 

14. ADJOURN
