Savoy Cardinals win UIL Academic State Championship

Savoy -- The Savoy Cardinal UIL Academic team brought home gold from the State Academic contest in Austin this past weekend. 

 

Nine students from Savoy High School competed and all nine brought back state medals! 

 

The SHS math team won the 1st place Math Team championship for the 4th straight year in a row. 

 

Students received the following awards:

 

Feature Writing –

Landry Neal – 3rd place

Ashlyn Smith – 4th place

 

Spelling and Vocabulary –

3rd Place Team -  Georgia Smith, Chloe Zoch, Patrik McCauley, and Olissa Cornwell

 

Mathematics –

Nicole Wang – 2nd place

Jodi Pope – 4th place

Ashlyn Smith – 6th place

 

1st Place Team & State Champions -  Nicole Wang, Jodi Pope, Ashlyn Smith, and Tori Overby

 

The Savoy UIL teams are coached by UIL Director, Brad Bos.  Congratulations to Mr Bos and each of these students for this outstanding accomplishment!  We are proud of you!
