Savoy -- The Savoy Cardinal UIL Academic team brought home gold from the State Academic contest in Austin this past weekend. 

Nine students from Savoy High School competed and all nine brought back state medals! 

The SHS math team won the 1^st place Math Team championship for the 4^th straight year in a row. 

Students received the following awards:

Feature Writing –

Landry Neal – 3^rd place

Ashlyn Smith – 4^th place

Spelling and Vocabulary –

3^rd Place Team -  Georgia Smith, Chloe Zoch, Patrik McCauley, and Olissa Cornwell

Mathematics –

Nicole Wang – 2^nd place

Jodi Pope – 4^th place

Ashlyn Smith – 6^th place

1^st Place Team & State Champions -  Nicole Wang, Jodi Pope, Ashlyn Smith, and Tori Overby
