DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s first-ever Big Blue Experience is scheduled for June 6-7.

The Big Blue Experience is a time for students to connect with people. This is an event that will be held off-campus at Crosspoint Camp in Kingston.

It’s not just a summer orientation camp. The Big Blue Experience is the beginning of a relationship between new students and Southeastern.

Instead of having several Camp SE Orientation camps throughout the summer as in previous years, the University will be doing one camp experience with some drop-in Camp SE orientations during move-in time, the week before classes start.

The drop-in Camp SE will allow for students to obtain their student ID, learn about Blackboard, etc.

Director of Student Activities Mitchell Emberson said, “While the Big Blue Experience is a great way for incoming students to learn about the history and traditions of Southeastern, connect with other students and learn about resources, our primary goal is that every camper leaves feeling they have been connected with a vital support system to help them succeed and meet their higher education goals.”

The Big Blue Experience camp fee is $150 and must be paid by May 28. For further information, call 580-745-2266 or visit http://www.se.edu/dept/student-life/bigblue/
