Denison -- The Room for Hope, located at Reba’s Ranch House was a project originally created by Girl Scout, Maria Hayes during her senior year at Denison High School as a community service project in attempt to complete her Gold Award. Maria started the Room for Hope as a place where women battling cancer could find items such as prosthetics, bras and wigs without having to drive outside of the community.

Since inception in 2012, the Room has expanded to support area women and men facing any cancer. Reba McEntire is actively involved in helping raise funds in support of the Room for Hope.

How you can help others

Donate Items: The Room operates through donation of items. Their space inside Reba’s Ranch House is provided by the Texoma Health Foundation. Gifts of wigs, prosthetics, scarves, hat and comfort items are always appreciated.

Monetary Donations: Monetary donations are needed to help pay for the cost of cancer treatment and surgeries. 100% of all contributions directly benefit under or uninsured patients in need of assistance.

“It doesn’t matter what part of the body has been attacked by cancer, simply that all who are diagnosed are facing a battle that is equally difficult.”

How we can help you

Resource Room: In addition to prosthetics, bras and wigs, you will find books, hats, scarves, and shawls along with emotional support, educational material and a connection to area resources. All items are donated to the Room for Hope by individuals, businesses, foundations, and friends so they are available to patients at no cost.

Hours of operation: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:30pm                  Phone: (903) 463.7322

Assistance Funds: The patient assistance program helps cover the cost of cancer treatment and surgeries for under or uninsured residents in Grayson, Fannin, Bryan and Marshall counties.

Support Groups: Cancer Support groups meet regularly at Reba’s Ranch House. Visit with our staff to learn about the current schedule.

A Special Thank you to Bella Fontana Spa, Yarning to Serve, Texas Oncology and community supporters for your generous donations making the room possible.
