Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Helen Marie Morrow, 77, of Bonham, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Bonham. Rev. Dana Coker will officiate. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Willow Wild Cemetery. Mrs. Morrow passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at The Homestead of Sherman.
Helen Marie (Briggs) Morrow was born in Chicago, IL on April 26, 1941 to Lawrence and Charlotte (Genest) Briggs. She married Joe Morrow in Dallas, TX and has been his loving wife since July 4, 1987. Helen was a building inspector, worked for the water department and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife and mother. Helen loved gardening and took pride in her yard; enjoyed antiquing and treasure hunting with her family and friends; and she also enjoyed cooking and decorating for the holidays with her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bonham.
Helen was a loving mother, of Edward Mann and wife Cheri, Lisa Mann, and Christine Mann; beloved grandmother, to Katie Mann, Nicholas Mann, Jamie Mann and Jacob Mann; loving aunt, to Laura Rogge and husband Larry and Stacey Sacco and husband Vince; loving stepmother to Joe’s children, Keith and wife Marsha, Joe Kent and wife Dosie, Rachel and husband Tony, and Matthew; step grandmother to their children, Parker, Tyler, Conner, Preston, Ryan, Garin, Blake, and Cory.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, the late Arthur Mann of Keokuk, IA; her parents, Larry and Charlotte Briggs; sister, Susan Andersen and brother, Ronald Briggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Mann, Jacob Mann, Nicholas Mann, Cory Hall, Parker Morrow and Blake Morrow.
No formal visitation will be held, however the family and friends will gather in the fellowship hall after the service.
