Blanche Alene (Caldwell) Rowland was born in Ravenna, Texas on May 7, 1922 to Arthur Traynor and Sletha Ann “Annie” (VanHooser) Caldwell. She married Bill Rowland on December 23, 1939 in Bonham, Texas; he preceded her in death on May 28, 2011 after 72 years of marriage. Blanche was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by son, Travis Rowland and wife Margaret of Mt. Pleasant; son, Gary Rowland and wife Donna of Ravenna; and daughter, Judith Barker and husband Stan of Bonham. Grandsons, Jared Barker and wife Jennifer of Elwood; Jacob Barker and wife Britney of Bonham; and Jason Rowland and Claire of Frisco; granddaughter, Carmen Griffith and husband Brandon of Honey Grove; step grandson, Brad Maxwell and wife Kacie of Leonard; great grandchildren, Gus Barker of Elwood; Max Barker of Elwood, Ali Barker of Elwood, Raiden Rowland of Frisco, and Kayla Brown of Bonham. Also surviving are brothers, Ray Caldwell of Rowlett, Newman Caldwell of Ector, and Arthur Caldwell and wife Hazel of Bonham; and sister, Dean McLinsky of Bowie.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, Arthur and Annie Caldwell; brothers, Ralph, Billy Joe, and Truman Caldwell.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

A brief visitation will be held at Willow Wild Cemetery prior to the graveside service.
