Yellow Rose of Texas ceremony honors LaTonna Jones Wagner

McKinney, Texas -- The Yellow Rose of Texas Commission was awarded to LaTonna Jones Wagner and the ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 24 at the Collin College Higher Education Center in McKinney.

Ms. Wagner was presented with a Proclamation from Fannin County Commissioner Dean Lackey declaring October 24, 2018 as LaTonna Wagner Day in Fannin County.

Bonham City Councilman Kevin Hayes present LaTonna a Resolution from the City Council of Bonham recognizing her achievement in being selected as a Yellow Rose of Texas.

Texas Senator Bob Hall's Chief of Staff John Vick presented a certificate and a flag that was flown over the Texas Capital in recognition of Ms. Wagner, and David Chapman presented a Resolution from State House of Representatives District 62.

The Yellow Rose of Texas Commission was presented by Dr. Neil Matkin, President of Collin College and by Diane Morrison a fellow recipient of the Yellow Rose of Texas Award.

LaTonna was selected as a Yellow Rose of Texas Recipient by Governor Greg Abbott in recognition of her service to the Citizens of the State. The Yellow Rose of Texas Award is the highest award that the Governor can bestow on a Texas Woman.
