Ector, Texas -- The Ector Eagles worked themselves back into contention for the title at the 2018 Ector Holiday Tournament with a 17-point win over the Trenton Tigers.

Ector led 34-25 at the half, thanks in large part to Austin Earl's 17 points, including five three-pointers.

Earl would go on to knock down 10 triples and lead all scorers with 33 points to help his Eagles post a 71-54 victory.

Kyrin Beach scored 16, Lito Grijalva finished with five points, Kenny Nelms had four points, Beau Collins threw in three points, while Nathan Essary and Joey Grijalva tossed in two points apiece.

Braden Burks dropped in a dozen points to pace the Trenton offense and Kaiden West had 11 points.

The Ector Eagles will be back in action at 5:00 p.m. against Roxton.
