Bonham, Texas -- Heritage Day Festival has a new event this year. It is a Cornhole Contest. The contest will start at 5:00 p.m., just after the downtown parade is finished. Teams consist of two people. The contest will be held just to the north of the Main Stage at Main and 5th streets. The first prize is $500, second place team wins $200 and third place wins $100 prize money. While the contest is going on, four different bands will be entertaining the crowd.
Applications are available at Bonham Visitors Center, and Juba Pizza or online at www.visitbonham.com. Deadline for registration is Thursday, May 2. The registration fee is $20 per team and is due when registration is turned in. Cash or check will be accepted for the registration fee.
Entertaining while the Corn Hole Contest is going on will be Bois’ d Arc Red, Deja Vinyl, Zane Dockery, and Barefoot Nation. Join us for the Heritage Day Festival Saturday, May 4 starting at 10:00 a.m. and continuing through 10:00 p.m. that evening with Motocross Jumping, Dog Show, Car Show, Motor Cycle Fun Run, Garden Tractor Pull, a parade, vendors, food, entertainment on the stage and the Cornhole contest.
