Best-selling author Karen Witemeyer has set her new historical romance novel in Honey Grove of 1896.

The lighthearted story features a single woman who owns a bakery on the Honey Grove Square and a gentleman who comes into her life.  The book will become available on Amazon.com on June 4.

We are delighted that the official book launch will take place at the Honey Grove Library on Saturday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m.  Karen will be here to discuss her book and the process she uses to write historical fiction.  Her previous book was set in Pecan Gap.

In keeping with the theme of the book, the event at the Library will also feature a Bake Sale of goodies created by members of the Friends of the Library, the Honey Grove Preservation League and the Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce, the three organizations sponsoring the event.  All bakers who donate items for the sale will be entered in a drawing to win one of five $25 VISA gift cards.  Proceeds of the sale will benefit the Friends of the Library.

Karen lives in Abilene with her husband and her three children.  Her books have consistently hit bestseller lists.  She was recently voted #1 Readers' Favorite Christian Romance Author by Family Fiction Magazine, and is a two-time winner of the ACFW Carol Award and three-time RITA finalist.  To learn more about Karen and her books, visit her website: http://karenwitemeyer.com/)

We are delighted that Karen chose Honey Grove as the setting of her latest story.  Please join us on June 15 for a fun morning in the newly renovated Lyday Hall (formerly the Civic Center) at the Honey Grove Library on the Square in Honey Grove.
