Bonham, Texas -- Each month, the Creative Arts Center hosts art parties called Art on the Town. The premise is this: the guests bring the party and the center provides the art.  By popular demand, pour painting has returned as a theme for the monthly event - this time on Thursday, August 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Pour painting has come into its own in the past two years, with hundreds of videos on social media about various techniques. If you've wanted to try it and don't want to bother buying the supplies, Art on the Town is for you! If you love to pour and might have friends who'd like to get together for the evening - this is for you! (and they won't use up your paint...) And, if you've never poured but would like to try - this is for you.

The Creative Arts Center supplies canvases, paint and demonstrations of techniques and/or an instructor each month. Lisa Avila will instruct this month and show several pour painting techniques. Each guest can try two 8 x 10 pours and take them home at the conclusion of the event. (The paintings will be wet.)

Reservations in advance are required but no experience is necessary or needed to produce wonderful, colorful pours. Call the Creative Arts Center at 903-640-2196 to make a reservation with payment over the phone, or stop by the arts center at 200 W. 5th Street in Bonham.
