Bonham, Texas -- Panchi Scown is the new principal of Bonham High School. She is beginning her 29th year in education and her 12th year as a principal. She was formerly the principal of Alpine High School for six years. 
Mrs. Scown graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sul Ross State University in 1990. In 2000 Mrs. Scown graduated from Sul Ross State University with her Master's in School Leadership.
Mrs. Scown began her career as an elementary and middle school teacher before transitioning into administration.
Mrs. Scown is married to Russell Scown, retired police chief. Together they have two daughters Emery and Allyson both of whom are teachers.
