First United Bank announces new Community Bank President, Kevin Griffin

Durant, Oklahoma -- First United Bank® would like to introduce Kevin Griffin as the new Community Bank President of McKinney, Texas. In this role, he will be responsible for providing financial solutions to the community through both retail and commercial lines of business, and providing supervision and direction for all community bank personnel. 

Griffin has over 34 years of banking experience and has been with First United for over three years. Before he joined First United, he served as a Regional Bank President Officer throughout North Texas with Independent Bank. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 38 years and have two grown sons, Chad and Austin, and two grandsons. Outside of the bank, he enjoys fishing, cycling, running, and wine tasting.

Griffin said his favorite part of the job is “lending money to great customers, helping them succeed in their vision, and empowering great employees to reach their potential through mentoring.” He also said, “My goal is to never stop learning and never say ‘I can’t.’ What you say and do matters to those whom I have had the privilege to work with over the past 34 years.”
