Public meetings scheduled for proposed FM 1515 improvements in Denton County

Denton, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host a public meeting from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center, 3100 Town Center Trail in Denton to discuss improvements to Farm-to-Market (FM) 1515 from Masch Branch Street to Bonnie Brae Street in Denton County. Representatives from TxDOT and the project team will be available to answer questions about the 2.1 mile project. 

Proposed improvements include:

·       Constructing two 12-foot wide inside travel lanes and one 14-foot outside shared-use path with raised median and curb and gutter in each direction on FM 1515

·       Constructing sidewalks in each direction on FM 1515

·       Replacing the existing bridges over Dry Fork Hick Creek, the Kansas City Southern Railroad and I-35W

·       Constructing left-turn lanes and a roundabout at FM 1515 and Masch Branch Street 

This is the first opportunity for public input on the estimated $40 million project.
