Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Wayne Morris, 67, of Bonham and formerly of Lake Dallas, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel 219 W. Sam Rayburn Dr., Bonham, Texas 75418.  Bro. Cary Kinnaird will officiate.  Burial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 at the Swisher Cemetery near Lake Dallas, Texas.  Gerald went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2019 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Gerald was born on July 13, 1952 in Denton County, the son of Milton Ray Morris and Regina Katherine Abel Morris.  He was a graduate of Lake Dallas High School and was a retired landscape artist for the University of North Texas in Denton.   Gerald was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Bonham and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Allen Morris.

 

 

He is survived by his mother Regina Katherine Morris of Bonham; sister, Nancy Ann Morris and cousins, Jimmy Morris and his wife Hazel, Jeannie Smith, Rhonda Hughes, Arthur Lee Morris and extended family and a host of friends.

 

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
