Lindsay, Texas -- Despite 25 kills by Dodd City junior Journie Hilliard, the Dodd City Lady Hornets dropped a tough, five-set decision to Bryson in a Region II-A quarterfinals match.

Bryson took the opener, 25-21, but Dodd City dominated the second set, 25-10. Bryson slipped by Dodd City, 26-24, in the third set and once more Dodd City responded with a resounding 25-11 victory.

Bryson took the tiebreaker, 15-12.

In addition to impressive numbers by Hilliard, Ali Preas was also in double digits with 13 kills. Tori Dotson had four kills.

Delaney Pilliod passed out 28 assists.

Dani Baccus came up with seven digs, Kylee Graves had three aces and Rion Baccus had a pair of aces.
