Ector, Texas -- After opening the season with losses to formidable opponents Lipan and Martins Mill, the Ector Eagles improved to 1-2 on the year with a 19-point with over Texoma Christian School.

Ector opened the game with a 16-2 run and led, 20-8, after the first quarter and 38-21 at halftime. Ector had a 22-point lead, 52-30, going into the fourth quarter. TCS made a late run midway through the final frame, but Ector pulled away in the final minutes for a 63-44 victory.

Ector's Kenny Nelms led all scorers with 15 points, Garen Norwood knocked down 13 points and Noel Cannaday was also in double figures with 12 points.

Austin Earl scored seven, Kyrin Beach finished with five points, Cory Whitburn had four points, Nathan Essary put up three points, with JB Johnson and Joey Grijalva pitching in two points apiece.
