Ector, Texas -- The Ector Lady Eagles vaulted into the finals of the 2019 Ector Holiday Tournament with a 42-33 win over the Blue Ridge Lady Tigers.
Blue Ridge had a 10-7 lead after the opening period, but Ector pulled in front, 22-20, at the half.
Ector was trailing 25-24 in the third quarter when Carly Jones hit a triple and Chelsi Petty drove into the lane for a lay-up as the Lady Eagles surged in front, 29-25.
In the fourth quarter, Riley Evans and Mollie Hooten hit back-to-back three-pointers to give Ector a 38-30 advantage and the Lady Eagles went on to post a nine-point win, 42-33.
Ector freshman Mollie Hooten led the Lady Eagles with 14 points and Riley Evans was also in double figures with 12 points.
Chelsi Petty scored seven, Jordan Blakey finished with five points, Carly Jones put up three points and Meredith Shockley hit a free throw.
The Ector Lady Eagles advance to face Chisum in the girls title game Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.
