Sioux Falls, South Dakota -- A strong second-half showing against the Sioux Falls Storm helped the Fighters improve to 8-2 on Saturday evening, as Frisco walked away with a 37-33 victory.

In his professional debut and first action as a Fighter, quarterback Malik Henry connected on a 28-yard toss to wide receiver Mark Munson during the game's first drive and set up Jerrod Heard to score two plays later.

The hosts responded shortly thereafter, however their extra point was blocked and returned by defensive back Sir'Vell Ford to make it an 8-6 ballgame early.

Henry's counterpart, Lorenzo Brown, launched his first of three first-half touchdown scores before the opening quarter ended.

Heard found the endzone another time a little over eight minutes into the second quarter, and kicker Kristov Martinez's pair of field goal connections kept Frisco within a score going into the break.

Running back DeMarcus Felton and Heard each broke through during a defensive second half, stretching the Fighters' lead to as much as eleven points.

The Storm returned a kickoff for a touchdown with over 12 minutes remaining, but Frisco would hold the home team off.
