Bonham, Texas -- Anthony Wayne Lightfoot, 62, passed away on the morning of September 2, 2021, in Tyler, TX., his family is confident he is in the presence of  Jesus.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the Mulberry Cemetery Pavilion, with Rev. Bryan Harkness officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Lightfoot, Matthew Lightfoot, Matt Rishel, and Grant Caskey.

Anthony was born March 5, 1959, in Houston, TX., and grew up in the Sherman and Bonham area. After graduation from Sherman High School, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth, and after he corrected her that his name was not Alexander but Anthony, they fell in love and began their lives together in East Texas. Anthony and Elizabeth were married on June 22, 1984, in Tyler, TX.

He has spent the last eleven years teaching and touching the hearts and minds of children in the Tyler area.

Anthony will be laid to rest where many of his beloved relatives are in Mulberry, Texas, a place that holds many fond memories for Anthony and his family.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Adam and his wife Jamie and their six children Aaron, Zoey, Nathan, Robert, Lily, and Madeline, son Matthew, daughter Mary Catherine and her husband Matthew Rishel all of the Tyler area. He is also survived by his parents Billy and Bobbie Lightfoot of Houston, TX., sister Alicia and brother in law Drake Caskey of Houston, TX. and sister Angela and brother in law Jorge Redondo of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Nephews Grant Caskey, Neil Caskey, Victor Redondo and niece Anagabriela Redondo.

Preceded in death by grandparents, William and Doris Lightfoot and Robert Allie and Edna Hall.

In his sixty two years he left a positive mark on the lives of many. He could light up a room with his smile and a hearty hello. His light will always shine in our hearts. If you want more information on Anthony, turn in your Bible to Romans 8: 38 – 39.
