Savoy, Texas -- Memorial services for Paul Wesley Wildrick, 73, of Savoy, Texas will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Ivanhoe Church of Christ in Ivanhoe, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Paul passed away Monday evening, September 27, 2021, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
Paul was born on September 22, 1948, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Wesley Hezekiah Wildrick and Bernice Milligan Wildrick. He graduated from high school at a military base in Germany. He served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Paul married Sandra Lanell Tennant on March 15, 1974, in Barstow, California. They were married for 47 years prior to his passing. Paul earned two master’s degrees from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He worked for the U. S. Borax for 20 years and retired from Mine Safety and Health Admin after 20 years. He was a member of the Ivanhoe Church of Christ.
Paul enjoyed reading; especially sharing books with his grandchildren. He also liked gardening and going to the movies. Paul is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Sandra Wildrick of Savoy, Texas; sons, Milo Edgar Barden of Belen, New Mexico, Cory Nathan Barden and wife Candy of Barstow, California, and Wesley Edward Wildrick of Owosso, Michigan; daughter, Corrina L. Bierilo and husband Kelly S. Waltz of Ivanhoe, Texas; brother, Billy Lynn Wildrick and wife Ruth of Eugene, Oregon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
