Frisco, Texas -- In Class 6A bi-district competition, the Marcus Marauders edged the McKinney Boyd Lady Broncos to advance to the area round.

All four sets were close in a match where every point counted. Marcus came out on top in the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-22, but it was McKinney Boyd with an exciting 27-25 victory in the third set.

The pivotal fourth set was tied, 23-23, before Marcus sealed the win with the final two points of the night for a 25-23 victory.

Marcus advances to face Arlington Martin in the area round.
