McKinney, Texas -- The McKinney Boyd Broncos moved to 4-2 in District 5-6A with a convincing 35-7 win over the Prosper Eagles.
The Broncos led 7-0 after the first quarter when Ryan Shackleton and Caden Park hooked up on a 73-yard touchdown pass.
The Eagles scooped up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown to tie the game, 7-7, early in the second period.
Bronco running back Carter Whitefield went in from four yards out and a pick 6 by Evan Dennis gave McKinney Boyd a 21-7 advantage at halftime.
The Bronco defense pitched a shutout in the second half while their offensive counterparts put up 14 unanswered points to post a 35-7 win.
McKinney Boyd will take on Lewisville next Friday in bi-district action.
