Savoy Police Department arrest yields drugs, gun and currency

Savoy, Texas -- On 12/04/2021 Savoy Police Department conducted surveillance on a residence on NE Front Street for drug activity. Probable cause was developed for a search warrant and an arrest warrant for the resident. Andrew Harold Conti was arrested for Delivery of Marijuana under 5 lbs. in a drug free zone and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 in a drug free zone. Both are felony charges. A warrant search of his house yielded just over 3 pounds of marijuana, THC Wax and $2,100 in US Currency.

Conti was released on bond and immediately resumed drug trafficking. He was arrested a second time on 12/07/2021 for Delivery of Marijuana, Man/Del Controlled Substance PG 2 and Felon in Possession of Firearm, all felony charges. A second warrant search of his house yielded over 12 pounds of marijuana, $9,000 in US Currency and a loaded handgun.

The currency and other assets have been seized pending civil asset forfeiture. Conti will have his day in court and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
