Campbell, Texas -- Mason Rodriguez and Ethan Barnard combined to throw a three-inning no-hitter as the Dodd City Hornets moved to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in District 12-1A with a 23-0 win over the Campbell Indians.

This one was over in a hurry, with Dodd City erupting for 11 runs in the top of the first inning, following up with 10 runs in the second inning and adding two more runs in the third inning for a 23-0 win.

Rodriguez, Layton Vaught, Ashton Balvin and Trevin Wilson all had a pair of hits in the runaway district victory.

Vaught and Rodriguez both had five RBIs and Balvin drove in four runs.

The Hornets will be on their home field Saturday for the annual Alumni Game at 6:00 p.m.

Then Dodd City will be back in district action next week with Wolfe City at home on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, the Hornets will host Cooper with the JV starting at 4:00 with the varsity following at 6:30.
