The new, second generation, 2005 Boxster and even higher-performace Boxster S feature a wider stance, more powerful engines, new transmissions, larger wheels and new-generation high-performance tires. Both models are equipped with the latest computerized vehicle control and performance enhancing technologies, and are the first roadsters to provide head-protecting side airbags as standard equipment.
Even in its most basic form, the mid-engine two-seat Boxster can go from 0-to-60 mph in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 159 mph. The Boxster S pumps out 280 horsepower to accelerate from 0-to-60 in only 5.2 seconds enroute to a top end of 167 mph.

Kennedy also told the crowd that for the first time ever FightNight 2005 will be televised on Channel 52.
