Taylor Lough named newest Anna Assistant City Manager

Anna, Texas (Dec. 7, 2022) – The City of Anna recently added an Assistant City Manager position to the management team to support the strategic goals of the growing city. Taylor Lough, the current Assistant Director of the Anna Economic Development Corporation, has accepted the role. 

Prior to coming to Anna in 2019, Lough served in Richardson, Texas as Assistant to the City Manager and Management Analyst since 2013. During her tenure in Anna, she served as Economic Development Manager before promoting to Assistant Director of Economic Development. She has been instrumental in positioning Anna as the premier destination for commercial and residential development. Most recently, she worked on the recruitment and coordination of renovations for 3 Nations Brewing, creating a downtown tax increment reinvestment zone and Collin County participation, implementing the EDC marketing plan and updating the CDC and EDC Bylaws. 

She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and a Master in Public Administration from the University of North Texas. She is a recipient of the TCMA Assistant of the Year in Memory of Valerie Bradley. Currently, she serves on the TCMA Professional Development Committee and the UT Dallas Economic Advisory Committee and previously served as the President of the Urban Management Assistants of North Texas. Taylor Lough is a graduate of the International City Managers Association (ICMA) Emerging Leaders Development Program, the Basic Economic Development Course from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) and Texas Women’s Leadership Institute. She is a current member of the Texas City Management Association (TCMA), International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and Hurricane Creek Rotary Club.  

Ms. Lough will continue in her current role as Assistant Director of the EDC until the position has been filled with a new applicant.
