Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Comedy Festival returns Feb. 10-11

Comedy heavyweights Jim Breuer and Michael Ian Black headline fun-filled weekend

Horseshoe Bay, TX – Horseshoe Bay Resort, Texas’ original golf and lakeside resort in the picturesque Texas Hill Country Wine and Lake Region, is proud to present the 7th annual Comedy Festival on Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11. The hilarious Horseshoe Bay Resort tradition will take place over Valentine's Day Weekend, with back-to-back nights of laughter, welcoming comedy legends Michael Ian Black and Jim Breuer.

Originally from Hillsborough New Jersey, Michael Ian Black is an American comedian, actor, writer, and director. He has appeared on “Another Period,” “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” and “Wet Hot American Summer.” He created and starred in many television series, has authored 11 books, and regularly tours the country as a stand-up comedian. Black is commonly known for his three stand-up comedy specials, “Very Famous,” “I Am a Wonderful Man” and his most recent, ‘Noted Expert.” Black is currently reprising one of his iconic film roles in the upcoming season of the Netflix “Wet Hot American Summer” that will be released this summer.

A New York-bred comic storyteller who made the list of Comedy Central’s “100 Greatest Standups of All Time” came to national attention during his seasons on Saturday Night Live, playing characters such as Joe Pesci and Goat Boy. Breuer is also known for appearing in “Half Baked,” a cult-classic comedy film with Dave Chapelle. Breuer had various Comedy Central specials such as “Hardcore” and “Let's Clear the Air,” one of the highest-rated comedy specials in the network’s history - popularly known as his “coming out party,” His special “And Laughter for All” (2013) was one of the highest-rated original comedy specials on EPIX to date. He is currently touring for his “Freedom of Laughter Tour” and has a new Comedy Special “Somebody Had to Say It.”
