Fannin County Commissioners Court approved proclamations declaring April 2023 as Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness month.

Commissioners decided to hold a bill-paying session at 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023. "The commission is not in favor of taking over subdivision streets and I would have a problem with language that indicates otherwise," Judge Cunningham advised.

In a discussion regarding courthouse repairs, the county judge expressed concern about Turner Construction's apparent reluctance to address issues that include water in the basement, multiple doors that won't lock properly, problems with HVAC system, and fractures in the concrete floor on the first floor.
County representatives, along the engineering firm the county has retained, will get together with Turner Construction and project architects for a warranty walk-through.
