McKinney, Texas -- McKinney high School junior Caydance Gaddis struck out 13 and limited the McKinney Boyd Lady Broncos to three hits and her Lionettes backed her up with a 15-hit barrage that resulted in a 9-1 victory.

McKinney High took a 2-0 lead in the first frame, plated a runner in the bottom of the third and then put the game away with a five-run fourth inning.

Boyd's lone run came in the top of the sixth after the Lionettes were in control with an 8-0 lead.

Kady Huggins, Regan Young and JP Wieghat all had three hits to fuel the McKinney High offense and Wieghat drove in a pair of runs.

Gaddis aided her own cause with a pair of hits and Zoe Thornburg also had two hits in the runaway win over crosstown rival McKinney Boyd.

Lady Bronco freshman Addy Lewis finished with two hits.

McKinney Boyd sophomore Sophia Vlahos was tagged with the loss.
