Bonham, Texas -- Larry Joe Wilcox, 82, of Bonham, TX was born on November 27, 1940 in Hillsboro, TX to Joe Bailey and Evelyn Francis (Barnes) Wilcox; he passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Larry married Dorothy (Smiley) Wilcox on November 9, 1963 in Bonham, TX. They had 2 children; he was a loving father as well as husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Larry loved his family very much. He enjoyed fishing and watching football games. Larry was a member of the Masonic Bailey Ashley Lodge 681. He worked at General Cable for approximately 35 years in management until he medical retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, parents, Joe Bailey and Evelyn Wilcox, sisters, Peggy Davidson, Lou Ann Brumble, and Wanda Jones.

Larry is survived by his son, Bryan Wilcox and wife Mandi; daughter, Sherri Wilcox; grandsons, Barrett Hudman, Jaxon Wilcox, and Jett Wilcox; sisters, Helen Wilkerson, Sandra McLain, June Woodruff, Jackie Lindsey, and Carolyn McMurry; brothers, Charles Wilcox, and Jerry Wilcox; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

A masonic graveside service will follow at Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Masonic Chaplain Roy Riales will officiate, and the Masonic Rites Funeral Team will serve as pallbearers.
