Leonard, Texas -- Oren Lee "Bubba" Davis, 53, passed away on April 30, 2023, in Greenville, Texas. He was born on June 10, 1969, to Jerry Lee Davis and Elaine (Sudderth) Peebles in Greenville, Texas.

Bubba attended school at Leonard for 13 years. At the age of 16, he received a jr. lifeguard certificate. After he married, he attended UTI Mechanic school, truck driving school, and electrical school. He loved lots of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, riding horses, and all types of motor sports. He later sold cars, operated a gas station, and worked as an electrician.

Bubba loved life and always had a good joke to share. He thought the world of all his family and especially his daughter, Jamie Lee, and her family.

Bubba will be remembered by his daughter, Jamie Lee Ledbetter and husband, Matthew, of Dalhart, Texas; grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon, and Braxton; mother, Elaine Peebles of Leonard, Texas; sister, Dana Fuller and husband, Kyle, of Leonard, Texas; brother, John D. Davis of Leonard, Texas; niece, Megan Newman of Los Angeles, California; nephew, Jag Griffis of Leonard, Texas; and numerous family members.

He was preceded by his father, Jerry Lee Davis; and grandparents, Oren Lee Davis, Sr. and Claudia Davis, and Ray T. Sudderth and Dale Sudderth.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Leonard, Texas. The family will welcome guests an hour prior for a visitation.
