McKinney, Texas -- The McKinney North Bulldogs improved to 4-1 on the year with a seven-point win over the Lancaster Tigers in a Thursday night game at McKinney ISD Stadium.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and stretched their advantage to 21-0 in the second period before taking a 21-7 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Tigers whittled the Bulldogs' lead down to 21-14 in the third period and then tied the game, 21-21, early in the fourth quarter.
McKinney North quickly answered with a seven-yard rushing touchdown that gave the Bulldogs a tough 28-21 victory.
McKinney North will be on the road at Tyler next week.
