McKinney, Texas -- In the spring of 2018, Paul Andrews (Jake) went on "A Mission" to form his vision of a tribute to The Blues Brothers for North Texas. As the owner of a Bluesmobile and a performer himself, it was the natural "next step". He found "his brother Elwood" in Justin Clark, a multi-decade Elwood performer from the Legends show in Branson.
Their first set of karaoke-style “track shows” quickly evolved into forming a small band, then a larger band, and eventually to the now nine-piece band you’ll see on the Courtroom Theater stage, complete with Miss Marcia Jones as the incomparable Aretha Franklin!
Built and molded like the original band as a "who's who" in North Texas, The Texas Bluesmen has the best musicians from various backgrounds. They’ve appeared with Dan Aykroyd & James Belushi and have played more than 500 shows since 2018 all over Texas, Oklahoma and beyond!
