McKinney Lions 62, Princeton 27

Princeton, Texas -- McKinney's Jeremiah Daoud rushed for two touchdowns and completed 20 of 28 passes for 429 yards and six touchdowns as the Lions routed the Princeton Panthers, 62-27, Friday night in Princeton.

Khristian Mackintrush had four receptions for 145 yards, including one for 71 yards, and grabbed a pair of touchdown passes.

Amari Holmes snagged six passes for 113 yards and a TD.

Jacoby Propes just missed the century mark, with 97 yards on three catches and two scoring strikes.

In his spare time, Daoud carried the ball four times for 28 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Layne Brown was the Lions' ground gainer with seven carries for 38 yards.

Julian Joseph had 10 carries for 37 yards and one touchdown.

McKinney scored four touchdowns in the first quarter and led 35-21 at the half.

The Lions put the game away with 21 unanswered points in the third period to build a 56-21 cushion going into the fourth quarter.

Both teams hit pay dirt once in the final frame to give McKinney a 62-27 win on the road.

McKinney (3-2, 2-1) will host Plano West on Thursday, October 10, while  Princeton (1-5, 0-3) will pay a visit to Allen on Friday, October 11.
