Bonham, Texas -- The Military Vehicle Preservation Association HA Jefferson Highway 2024 Convoy is planning on stopping in Bonham at the Roy Floyd Community Center (Armory) on Sunday, October 20, 2024 as the convoy of historic military vehicles retraces the historic 1918 route from the Minnesota-Canadian border to New Orleans, LA, a distance of 2,500 miles, traveling through Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana.
The 2024 MVPA-HA Convoy of over 30 military vehicles will be arriving in Bonham, Texas via the Jefferson Highway on Sunday, October 20. The convoy will travel along TX Hwy 56 and will make a lunch stop around 11:00 a.m. at the Roy Floyd Community Center (Armory), located at 1100 W. 5th St., Bonham, Texas. The vehicles will be on display from 12:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. for the public to view; then the convoy will form up and parade by the Clyde Cosper Texas State Veterans Home. After the visit, the convoy will re-enter the Jefferson Highway onto TX 78 and drive to Greenville, Texas.

The 30-day convoy consists of 36 registered teams and military vehicles, with approximately 70 people and eight support vehicles.
This an opportunity to witness military-vehicle history in the form of a 78-year-old Willys Wagon, a '41 staff car, a '51 Dodge troop hauler and dozens of other unique and historic military vehicles.
Teams from 15 U.S. states as well as New Zealand, Belgium and Australia are participating in the ninth running of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association HA Jefferson Highway 2024 Convoy.
