McKinney, Texas -- The McKinney Lions started strong  and finished even stronger in a 21-point victory over their crosstown rivals, the McKinney Boyd Broncos.

The Lions controlled the action in the opening period and took a 15-7 lead into the second quarter.

The Broncos narrowed the gap to 28-23 at the half, but McKinney Boyd was trailing, 46-37, going into the fourth quarter.

The Lions took over down the stretch, outscoring the Broncos 21-9 to earn a 67-46 win in Boyd's competition gym.
