Ivanhoe, Texas -- The Sam Rayburn Rebels moved to 2-0 in District 11-2A with a 9-0 win over the Dodd City Hornets.

The Rebels plated a pair of runners in the first inning, picked up three runs in the third inning and then added four runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Sam Rayburn junior Cash Mason pitched the first four innings to get the win. Mason walked three and struck out six. Jamison Dorris came on in relief in the fifth frame and notched three strikeouts.

Sam Rayburn's Cooper Robinson, Cade Nichols and Cash Mason all had two hits, with Clay Caldwell collecting one hit.

Caysen Lappin and Weldon Garner both had one hit for Dodd City.
