Fort Worth, Texas -- This spring, enjoy an exciting array of events at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden that celebrate nature, art, culture, and community. From March through May, guests can enjoy a diverse calendar of exhibits and activities for all ages.
Butterflies in the Garden
Experience breathtaking butterfly beauty, now through April 30. Presented by Central Market, this eagerly awaited exhibit features thousands of exotic and native butterflies, fluttering gracefully among lush greenery and vibrant tropical blooms within the FWBG’s Rainforest Conservatory.
Visitors can witness these delicate creatures in flight, observe their feeding behaviors, and learn about their life cycles through interactive displays. Timed-entry tickets are available Thursday-Monday throughout the event.
Cracking Art Installation
Debuting April 1, this vibrant pop art exhibit features 80 larger-than-life animal sculptures meticulously crafted by the globally acclaimed Italian art collective, Cracking Art.
Designed from regenerated plastic, the colorful installations—including rabbits, elephants, geese, wolves, swallows, and snails—highlight environmental sustainability while creating playful encounters throughout the Garden for guests. Entrance is included with general Garden admission.
Spring Plant Sale
Get ready for FWBG’s highly anticipated Spring Plant Sale, sponsored by SavATree. Explore a vibrant selection of plants and get expert advice from our knowledgeable staff on Friday, April 4 (2:00 – 6:30 p.m.) and Saturday, April 5 (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.). Whether you’re a gardening novice or a seasoned enthusiast, we’re here to help you find the perfect plants for your yard. The Spring Plant Sale will be held in the Grove area of the Garden. For free access, visitors must park at the West Entrance of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden (3408 West Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107) and enter through the West Entrance Gate.
Blooms & Beats
Get ready for enchanting family-friendly evenings at the Garden! At Blooms & Beats, guests will enjoy the beauty of spring at the Garden while listening to live music performances by talented local artists. Satisfy your taste buds with offerings from some of Fort Worth's favorite food trucks, play fun yard games, and relax with a selection of adult beverages under the stars. Bring your friends and family for a night to remember! Tickets are available online for April 11 and May 9.
Neighbors in Nature
Join us at FWBG for Neighbors in Nature: An Earth and Arbor Day Celebration on April 25. Thanks to Atmos Energy, all guests receive free entry to the Garden and this event. This special day offers a wide range of engaging activities, including Story Walk Family Yoga with Yogi Squad, Storytime with Bella Begonia, Forest Therapy Walks, a rejuvenating Sound Bath experience, and a City Nature Challenge Bio Blitz. Highlights of the celebration include a ceremonial planting of a NASA Moon Tree, a mini-native plant sale, and guided tours showcasing the Garden's wonders.
Additionally, book your spot to hear renowned entomologist Dr. Douglas Tallamy, author of Nature’s Best Hope, which explores the critical role of native plant species in protecting our environment. Learn how to boost biodiversity, understand nature’s balance, and become a stronger advocate for the planet.
Spring Japanese Festival
Celebrating our Japanese Garden's cultural heritage, this bi-annual festival takes place April 26-27. Guests can enjoy traditional performances including taiko drumming, tea ceremonies, calligraphy demonstrations, and martial arts exhibitions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to savor authentic Japanese dishes, prepared by skilled members of the Fort Worth Japanese Society, as well as an array of offering from Asian-themed food trucks. Entrance is included with general Garden admission.
