SATURDAY, APRIL 12
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Volunteers needed to remove a massive tree that fell during the March wind storms.  Parts of the tree crushed a very old woven wire fence encircling a family plot from the 1860s.  Damages to area gravestones is not yet determined.  Volunteers got a good start on our previous workday, but there are more branches remaining to be cut up and carried out of the cemetery.

Persons experienced with chain saws and those able to help haul tree parts out of the cemetery are needed and greatly appreciated.  Come for as long or as short a time as you can.  Although we've come a long way clearing 50+ years of overgrowth in the past five years, it is recommended to wear long pants, shirts with long sleeves, sturdy gloves and shoes, and a hat.

A Google map showing the location of Shilo Cemetery is available at https://tinyurl.com/3ww295mf.  Yellow signs will be posted starting at the turn-off from CR-3015.
