Paris, Texas -- Texas Department of Transportation officials have announced that a project to replace three bridges in Fannin and Grayson County is slated to begin April 21.

THK Construction of Longview, Texas was granted 195 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than $1.8 million. The contractor anticipates starting work on April 21, 2025.  The target completion date is May 2026.

The contractor will replace these bridges and their approaches: Sister Grove Road at West Prong of Sister Grove Creek in Grayson County, CR 2865 at Sanders Creek Tributary and CR 2825 at Sanders Creek in Fannin County.

These roadways will be closed while these projects are underway. Officials asked motorists to observe all signs and barricades, and to approach work zones cautiously at reduced speed, officials said.

Motorists who travel frequently in these areas are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
