After a successful nine-week run on Nashville Star in 2003, Miranda Lambert signed with Epic Records and released her first single, “Me and Charlie Talking,” near the end of 2005. Co-written by her father and Heather Little, that hit song reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Miranda wrote or co-wrote 11 of the 12 songs on her debut major label album, Kerosene, and all four of the singles from that album hit the top 40. The album reached platinum status by 2005, proving she was a powerhouse in her own right and on her way to country music superstardom. Miranda has been on fire ever since.

A talented singer, guitarist, and songwriter, Miranda has earned several awards, proving that it’s not just her loyal fans who love her music. In April 2017, Miranda won the ACM Award for Female Vocalist of the Year for the eighth consecutive year, making her the most awarded singer in that category. In November of 2015, she became the first woman to win the CMA award for Album of the Year twice, once again surpassing other well-known country artists.

Miranda has been nominated for a total of twelve Grammys, winning two. Her song, “Tin Man,” was nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for the 2018 Grammy Awards. Miranda Lambert has released a total of 6 albums since signing with Epic Records after her appearance on Nashville Star. She released her latest album in 2016, The Weight of These Wings, which went platinum and won the ACM Album of the Year Award. The Weight of These Wings is considered to be one of the best country albums of 2016.
