Windom, Texas -- Local artist Wanda Oliver has been selected to exhibit her painting, “Rosetta Stone,” in the highly competitive Abstract National Exhibition, opening January 9 at Mark Arts in Wichita, Kansas. Oliver’s work was chosen as one of only 90 pieces from a field of 787 submissions, highlighting her as a standout voice in contemporary abstract painting.
"Rosetta Stone” exemplifies Oliver’s signature style—bold, energetic, and vibrant, with tactile surfaces and lyrical marks that invite viewers to discover layers of meaning. The Abstract National Exhibition is recognized for showcasing the nation’s most compelling abstract artists, making this selection a significant honor for Oliver and the Fannin County arts community.

“I am deeply honored to have my work included among such a talented group of artists,” said Oliver. “This painting is a celebration of color, movement, and the hidden messages that art can reveal. I hope it brings viewers a sense of joy and discovery.”
The Abstract National Exhibition will be on view at Mark Arts, 1307 N. Rock Road, Wichita, Kansas, from January 9 through March 5, 2026. The public is invited to attend the opening reception from 5-7pm on Jan. 9 and experience the diversity and innovation of abstract art from across the country.
