Suspicious vehicle call in Anna leads to arrest of three, removal of guns and drugs

Anna, Texas (Feb. 7, 2025): A routine investigation about a suspicious vehicle on a residential street led to the arrest of three individuals and the removal of illegal firearms, high-capacity magazines, and drugs from the streets of Anna.

At approximately 8:40 p.m. Feb. 6, 2025, officers responded to a report of vehicle that had been sitting outside a residence for an extended period, raising concerns from a neighbor. Upon arrival, Officer James made contact with the occupants and immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana. Additional officers were called to assist.

Through their thorough investigation, officers identified the vehicle’s occupants as three males, ages 19, 18, and 17, along with a 17-year-old female. A search of the vehicle uncovered:

As a result of the investigation, three individuals were arrested and charged:

“This is a prime example of why we take every call seriously,” said Chief Habel. “A suspicious vehicle may seem minor, but in this case, it resulted in the removal of dangerous weapons and drugs from our community. We encourage our neighbors to report anything unusual—your awareness makes a difference.”
