Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Jo Nell (Parker) McLain, age 86 of Bonham, will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. The interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery. Dr. Raymond Horne will be officiating. Mrs.McLain passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her residence in Bonham.

Jo Nell, a loving wife and mother, was born in Henderson, Texas, April 22, 1927. She is the daughter of Conrad Justice and Sallie (Gossett) Parker. She married Donald McLain July 30, 1948 by Rev. R.E. Rogers in Henderson, Texas. Jo Nell and Donald lived in Rusk County until moving to Fannin County in 1952 to the Boyd community where they lived for 1 year, and then moved to their present residence for the last 59 years. She was employed by Bonham Manufacturing for 18 years, Texas Instruments for 5 years, Bonham VA Center for 10 years and Jelly Ford’s Ladies Apparel for 10 years. Jo Nell was a working partner with her loving husband of 62 years in farming. They shared a passion for cattle ranching. She and Donald were members of the First Baptist Church in Bonham.

Jo Nell is survived by sons of Bonham- Kelley McLain and wife Sandra, John McLain and wife Sherri; daughter of Bonham- Donna Jo McLain Webb and husband Dewaine; grandchildren Kathryn McLain Ziegler, Jennifer McLain, Bradley McLain, Amanda McLain, Amy McLain, Jessica McLain, Kristi Webb Horne, and Melissa Jo Webb; 8 great grandchildren, 1 sister – Dorothy Parker Hunt, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was in preceded in death by her husband, Father and Mother, and 1 brother: Delmer Parker and wife Christine Parker, 3 sisters: Margie Jordan and husband AJ, “Sister” and husband Charlie Holland, Ruth Smith and 1 brother-in-law Billy John Hunt and 1 grandson: Christopher Parker Webb.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Dalon Brakebill, Bobby Howery, Rodney Malone, Thurman Hutto Jr., Parker Hunt Sweeney, and Joshua Hunt Singleton.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
