Honey Grove High School is proud to announce that on June 7, 2013, 12 students will walk across the stage and graduate as first generation college students. First generation students are those students whose parent(s) have not attained a college degree. Not only have these students been accepted into a college, they have also committed themselves to continuing their education.
Mrs. Weaver, HGHS counselor, awarded these students a t-shirt to highlight this grand achievement; the t-shirt says, "I'm First." Due to the honor that comes from this accomplishment, we are happy to announce that these students will continue their post-secondary education at various colleges.

Ten first generation students are pictured here.
